Here at Castaways Design, we're committed to creating jewelry with soul. At some point, each of us - designers, craftspeople and management alike - became disheartened by mass-produced, faceless fashion accessories. We grew nostalgic for a time when everyday objects were created by hand, where you could see the individuality behind the product - especially a product as personal as jewelry.

Our name, Castaways Design, describes our purpose: to be your oasis of originality in a sea of sameness. On this organic oasis no industry exists, just the imagination, human hands and natural materials.

It's our joy to help you express yourself, with wearable art that sets you apart.

Your Castways Design Team:

All of our work is a collaborative effort between crafters and designers, from artistic vision to final product. Because we encourage input from every team member, innovation abounds. We're constantly experimenting with shape, color, assembly and design to create the most memorable, one-of-a-kind designs for you.

Nick Vaverko is our founder and creative director. A native of the Ukraine, he has an extensive background in international business. Prior to launching Castaways Design, Nick served as a marketing specialist for Procter & Gamble/Ukraine, and as an IT professional with Ingersoll-Rand in the U.S.

Natasha Yegorova is our chief in-house designer. She brings five years of formal training in design from Kiev's School of Art to Castaways Design, along with a discerning eye for style and a lifelong interest in fashion.

Tamara Yegorova, our production coordinator, is highly skilled and experienced in garment manufacturing and design. Prior to joining the Castaways Design team, she had a successful leather design/tailoring business.

Our Vacation and Trend lines are created by expert wood and leather crafters, based upon the latest trend research and, of course, our customers' requests! Nadezhda and Vasiliy are skilled wood workers who craft our passionately playful Vacation (Wood) line. Natalya and Irina X. comprise the Trend (Leather) team, while Irina M. fashions the leather ornaments that become part of our unique Horn pieces. Gregory and Alexey incorporate Irina M.'s ornaments into their Collectible (Horn) designs.

The photogenic faces that display our jewelry to maximum effect belong to models Lena and Zhenia. Photographer Vladimir has captured the essence of what it means to be a Castaways Design beauty: Distinctive. Natural. Self-assured. Eco-aware. YOU!
